The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, working in collaboration with the Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala will be conducting a workshop on Doing Business in Belize.

The workshop takes place in Guatemala City on October 25, 2005 and is being conducted under the auspices of the Enhancing Commercial Linkages Project.
Mr. Derek Nisbet, Senior Investment Officer at The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) will be traveling to Guatemala City to give a presentation on Investing in Belize.

Other topics on the agenda for the workshop include a profile of Belize, the Partial Scope Agreement and importation and exportation requirements for Belizean and Guatemalan products. The Enhancing Commercial Linkages Project seeks to implement concrete programs aimed at improving cross-border commercial exchanges and to promote opportunities between Belize and Guatemalan entrepreneurs.

Funding for BELTRAIDE’s participation in the workshop is being provided by the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry through the Enhancing Commercial Linkages Project.
